Hayle is an important and historic town with much to offer: restaurants, pubs, large supermarkets, small craft shops, galleries, markets, information centre, and just beyond is Hayle Towans beach which stretches for 3 miles northeast to Godrevy Light house. With the white sands and clear blue water, there is no better place to sit back and unwind enjoying the views across the bay. It’s not all about the beach. Hayle was the first Cornish town to be awarded ‘Walkers Are Welcome’ status, with well marked trails and footpaths. There is the Hayle town trail where you can learn about the town’s heritage walking through historic quarters and sampling the great cafes and pubs as you go.
If shopping is your thing, Hayle has a great selection of High Street shops, craft shops, galleries and an indoor market, selling locally designed and made jewellery and artwork. For a quiet evening stroll, seek out St. George’s Walk along Copperhouse Pool with its selection of tropical plants and trees or stroll along the quayside and watch the fishing boats come and go with the tide.
